About Us

Come Join Us!

we are a happy group of mixed voice singer both male and female; with a wide range of singing abilities and a wide age range! We sing in mixed harmonies and are split into Soprano and Altos (ladies) and Tenors and Bass (men). If you are unsure which section you want to sing in our musical director can help you to decide what is best for your vocal range. We are always happy to welcome new members to enhance our performances and boost our numbers! We meet every Thursday evening during term times at Freckleton Methodist Church Hall and sing a variety of songs ranging from songs from the musicals and gospel songs, to the latest pop tunes and everything in -between! All the words and music are provided on loan and you don't need to be able to read music as Dave our musical director guides us through stage by stage. We don't hold auditions to join our choir and all levels of ability are catered for. It is all about enjoying singing in harmonies and getting together to socialise. We are a very friendly group and have a social event for members twice a year. We would love you to come and join us and enjoy our choir.

We have covered a number of local events including the recent village celebrations for the King's Coronation. If you have an event and need some singers then please get in touch if you would like us to attend

Meet our musical Director

We are very lucky to have our talented Musical Director who is a great creative force behind our choir. Dave Mawson joined us as Musical Director in 2021 after moving from West Yorkshire to Freckleton in 2015. He is an accomplished pianist and has both taught music and been a professional musician as part of the Batley Variety Club. Dave is a busy man as he is also Musical Director for Kirkham Singers!
